Updates for the 2022 Chevrolet SUV Lineup
One of the biggest changes to the Chevy SUV lineup this year will be the addition of the Chevrolet Bolt EV. This model is an SUV version of the manufacturer’s popular Bolt EV, a subcompact hatchback. Additionally, significant new updates are in store for the compact Chevrolet Equinox and three-row Chevrolet Traverse. Many 2022 chevy SUVs will also be adding a few new colors, features, or even available packages.
Upgrades for the 2022 Chevy Traverse
The 2022 model of the three-row SUV will receive several new features: a new front fascia and grille, with standard, LED headlights and daytime running lights; new LED taillights; roof rails; and four new wheel designs.
New safety features are now standard on all trims for the 2022 Chevy Traverse. It will come with Chevy Safety Assist, which bundles active safety technology including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will also now be standard cabin features across all trims. With the available dual-panel sunroof, the Traverse will come standard with a rear power sunshade.
Additional features will also be added to specific Traverse trims. Standard power-folding, heated side mirrors will now be standard on the 3LT, RS, Premier, and High Country trims. Adaptive cruise control will be standard on the Traverse RS, Premier, and High Country trims, and available on the LT Leather trim. The Redline Edition of the Traverse will receive a new package update, and Midnight/Sport Editions are now available on Traverse LS and LT trims. Finally, new colors will be available for various trims: Northsky Blue Metallic for LS and LT models, Silver Sage Metallic for the LT, and an available Cherry Red Tintcoat for all trims
Changes to the 2022 Chevy Blazer
The 2022 Chevy Blazer will now feature its turbo four-cylinder and naturally aspirated V-6 engine in place of the previous less efficient naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine. Like the Traverse, the Blazer will now come standard with the Chevy Safety Assist bundle. The Blazer 3LT trim will feature standard blind-spot monitoring and rear automatic emergency braking, while the RS and Premier models have available adaptive cruise control with the Driver Confidence II package.
The Blazer will also add new colors to its design: Nitro Yellow Metallic and Blue Glow Metallic. Two-tone color exteriors are now available for the 2LT, 3LT, and RS models. When opting for the Midnight, Sport, or Redline Edition packages, customers have the option of a black-painted roof on the RS and LT trims. The Blazer Premier gets the most updates with new wheels and dark front and rear lower fascias, rockers, and wheel moldings.
New for the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer
Adding new colors, the 2022 Chevy Trailblazer now comes in Crimson Metallic, Blue Glow Metallic, Vivid Orange Metallic, and Mahogany Red Metallic. It will also have new available dealer-installed options, including roof rack cross rails and a trailering package that comes with a hitch, harness, and bezel. The Trailblazer Activ and RS will now come standard with a heated steering wheel, which is also available on the LT model.
