The all-new Chevy Trailblazer is finally here, and it’s an ultra-revamped version of its predecessors. The 2021 Trailblazer is designed to be the perfect combination of youthful and sensible as an all new small SUV crossover, the middle option between the Chevrolet Trax and the larger Equinox.
Trim Levels
There are five available trim levels: the L, LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS. Except for the L level, each has the option between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The available all-wheel drive comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and the system delivers more rear-wheel torque for a better and safer driving experience on steep, unpaved, or slippery surfaces, which is especially helpful during inclement weather. Additionally, the AWD system has the capability to be activated or deactivated as necessary by the driver in order to preserve fuel efficiency.
In terms of the Trailblazer motor, the LS and LT have the option between a 137-horsepower 1.2-liter engine and a 155-horsepower 1.3-litre engine, and the 1.3-liter engine is standard on the ACTIV and RS. The Ecotec 155-horsepower 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo engine features variable valve timing and direct injection, producing up to 174 ft.-lb. of torque.
The highest trim level, the RS, offers a unique Trailblazer interior that has distinctive styling and personality with unique blacked-out cues, a performance-inspired hexagon black mesh grille, black bowtie and RS badging, and dual exhaust outlets with round polished tips.
