Ray Scarpelli and the Ray Auto Group Win the Anchor Award
The Anchor Award is a quarterly award that gets presented to a local business or organization in the Fox Lake community. This quarter we had the honor of receiving this award atRay Chevrolet and the Ray Auto Group.
The award honors those that serve the community of Fox Lake. A plaque is received at the Fox Lake Board Meeting, followed by an article published in the Village Newsletter about the winner.
Our dealership, Ray Chevrolet, was established in 1991 by Ray Scarpelli Jr and his father Ray Sr. The dealership was a two-car showroom and had about 20 employees. Now we are proud to say that we have grown over the years to two stores and over 130 employees.
Ray and his family work in the Fox Lake community by supporting numerous organizations. Our dealership supports the Big Play Program, donating over $300,000 to local high schools. Ray also hosts the annual “Kids Christmas Party” where kids receive gifts and can shop with the Fox Lake Police and Fire Department.
Supporting local food drives and helping Catholic Charities, more than $80,000 has been raised. Each year at our dealership we hold the annual “BBQ for the Troops” event supporting families of our fallen soldiers, along with active military members. So far, this event has raised over $90,000 for military families.
We are honored to receive this award from our Fox Lake community and couldn’t have done it without all of our customers and fellow Fox Lake community members. We want to thank you all for your continuous support throughout the years.
