Silverado HD Tops the Pickup Segment
The 2021 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study found that the Chevy Silverado HD leads the Large Heavy Duty Pickup segment as the most dependable vehicle. The second-ranking vehicle, the Ram HD, was miles behind the Silverado in terms of dependability; the Silverado was the only vehicle in the entire segment to perform at or above the segment average in the study.
Additionally, the Chevrolet brand performed well overall in the study. It achieved a “PP100” score of 115, which is well above the industry average of 121. For comparison, one of Chevrolet’s biggest competitors, GMC, received a poor “PP100” score 143.
