Chevy Blazer and Chevy Traverse: Which Chevy SUV Is Right for You
The Chevy Blazer and Chevy Traverse are two different Chevy SUVs. These vehicles offer you good performance and nice features, but there are some key differences. If you are looking to upgrade to a new Chevy SUV, but you aren’t sure which one to choose, you should check out the comparison of these two vehicles below.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the Chevy Blazer is home to a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gives you 193-horsepower. This engine also gives you 21 city and 27 highway miles per gallon. There is also a turbocharged engine that is available with this vehicle. This second engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that gives you 230-horsepower. The third and final engine option is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that gives you 308-horsepower.
In the Chevy Traverse, you have just one engine option. There used to be a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but now there is just a V6 engine. However, you get plenty of power and performance with this 3.6-liter V6 that gives you 310-horsepower.
Size
One of the biggest differences between the 2020 Chevy Blazer and the 2020 Chevy Traverse is the size. The Chevy Blazer has two rows of seating for up to five people. This midsize SUV also gives you 30.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats, and there is 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the second row of seats folded down.
The Chevy Traverse is a slightly bigger vehicle with more seating. This vehicle has the capacity to seat seven or eight people, depending on the trim. For cargo space, you get 23 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row of seats. If you fold down the third row of seats, you can get up to 57.8 cubic feet, and with both rear rows folded down, you get 98.2 cubic feet of space.
Features
There are also a lot of great features in the both of these Chevy SUVs. Both the Chevy Traverse and the Chevy Blazer have features like a Chevy Infotainment 3 system, a 7-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, USB ports, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. There are also safety features, including the Chevy Teen Driver system.
