How Park Assist Makes Driving Your Chevy Easy
Do you struggle to keep your car between the lines? Maybe you also have nightmares over parallel parking, or have accidentally gotten a little too close while backing into a spot. Whatever your parking style is, Chevy Front and Rear Park Assist is here to help! Chevy clearly emphasizes driver experience in addition to high-quality automotive engineering. With Front and Rear Park Assist, Chevy slickly combines form and function, using a carefully designed set of sensors to make your day just a little bit easier! Read on to learn a bit more about this incredible technology.
Create Some Space
Chevy Park Assist sensors aim to give you alerts about close objects as soon as possible. The best way to do this is to begin detecting objects from far away! At low speeds, Chevy Rear Park Assist sensors can detect an object from up to 8 feet away, and Chevy Front Park Assist sensors have a range of 4 feet, both of which give you plenty of time.
Stay Alert
Chevy Park Assist cleverly uses several types of feedback and input to alert you about close objects. As your car pulls closer to an object, the interior speaker will play low-pitched beeps that increase frequency as you pull closer. Once the car is 2 feet away, the speaker will beep 5 times. If you are getting a little too close for comfort, the speakers will be a continuous tone.
If your car is equipped with Safety Alert Seat, you have the option to replace the beeps with pulses in your seat, giving you the ability to fine-tune your driving experience.
In addition to sensors, Chevy vehicles are equipped with a Rear Vision Camera display. As the object grows nearer, caution triangles will pop up on the screen, changing from yellow to amber to red. On many Chevy vehicles, Park Assist displays the path of your vehicle, and even filters object detection to only objects in your path!
