As your car pulls closer to an object, the interior speaker will play low-pitched beeps that increase frequency as you pull closer. Once the car is 2 feet away, the speaker will beep 5 times. If you are getting a little too close for comfort, the speakers will be a continuous tone.
If your car is equipped with Safety Alert Seat, you have the option to replace the beeps with pulses in your seat, giving you the ability to fine-tune your driving experience.
